I have attempted recently to be as honest and fair in my analysis of political issues and have posted these comments on other blogs that I respected and that get more traffic than this blog of mine. I appreciate the honesty and passion with which greater minds than myself have expressed their beliefs and opinions. I have such respect for the blogs I have posted on. I would not post if I did not have that respect. However, I wish I had taken my father’s advice to “NEVER discuss politics and religion when not amongst friends.†Since I am not very religious, I talk about politics once and a while. But to me it was easy to discuss such issues with those who I knew and loved. To discuss these difficult things away from my base of security was the goal. In result, I have opened myself up for some grief. Not looking for sympathy. I have never been accused of being smart. I am apparently not capable of sophisticated thought, don’t get “it,” and am an idiot. LOL. So I think I will stop with my attempt at levelheaded analysis of some important issues. (Ok, some may think me not so levelheaded.) Hooray no doubt some will say. I fear for our country. I fear for the future. For my children’s future and your children’s future. I take the threats of this world seriously — not that YOU do not. I know you do. It seems at times that some are so focused internally that externally things are missed. Yes, we have issues here on the home front. I hope we never experience another 9/11. We need to be more realistic and more willing to make the hard sacrifices. I do not know if we are capable. We need to be stronger, not weaker. We need to be more aggressive, not passive. I hope it all works out.
